Audition Workshop Series (Grades 9-12)

Sundays, 4:30-5:45 pm, March 8 - April 12 (no class 3/29, 4/5)

Up your audition game! Each week of this series focuses on a new element of a successful audition. Taught by a different local artist each week, this is a perfect opportunity to get lots of feedback from the people who know what works.

  • Each audition cut, monologue or song, should tell a story. Get practical advice that you can apply to any audition.

  • Learn how to walk into any audition room confidently and communicate clearly with an accompanist. What do you do when something has gone wrong? How should you mark your music to make your accompanist’s job easier? We’ll answer these questions and more!

  • Learn how to craft a character and analyze the script quickly to be prepared for any scene work you may encounter in auditions and callbacks.

  • Dance out your nerves about dance calls! You don’t have to be the strongest dancer to excel at a dance call. Learn how to recover quickly from mistakes and stand out in a crowd even if turns and leaps aren’t your thing, and how to go beyond technique if you’ve been dancing for years.
