About the show
Journey into a world where fairy tales collide in Into the Woods Jr., a lively and imaginative musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. When a Baker and his wife set out on a quest to break a witch’s curse, they cross paths with familiar storybook characters—including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, and Rapunzel—each pursuing their own wish.
As their stories intertwine, wishes are granted and adventures unfold, but the characters soon discover that “happily ever after” is only the beginning. With humor, heart, and Sondheim’s clever storytelling, Into the Woods Jr. explores themes of responsibility, teamwork, and growing up—perfectly tailored for young performers and audiences.
This condensed adaptation captures the magic, wit, and moral lessons of the original musical while celebrating the power of community and the choices we make.
