Brenda has produced, directed and performed onstage and on camera in Los Angeles, San Diego, New York, Chicago and Milwaukee. She received a BA in Theatre and a minor in mass communications from Illinois State University.

Before co-founding Forte Theatre Company, Brenda created Character Kids LLC, a children’s theatre company that provides after school theatre classes and summer camps to elementary schools, park districts and community centers throughout the country. Character Kids currently operates in the Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and San Diego.

Previously, she served as the Performing Arts Manager at the Kroc Community Center in San Diego, managing their School of the Arts and directing and producing musicals with casts of over 60 children.

Brenda resides in Franklin, WI with her husband and two children.
